Upcoming support group dates:
October 15 - December 3, 2012
Group bereavement participants typically see what they are experiencing is familiar to others. There is a felt connection. Group support gives assurance that the behaviors, feelings, and the wide-range of emotions that grieving families are feeling are common, natural and healthy.
Support groups are held in eight-week sessions, meeting Monday nights from 6pm–7:30pm. Youth age 6–17 and adults meet for dinner at 6:00pm and everyone splits into age-appropriate groups for discussion and activities geared towards peer support and grief education. To assist in creating a cohesive group we must ask that participants attend one of the first two weeks of the session. Adult family members may attend one support group session together and then attend subsequent sessions as individuals. (i.e. one in Spring, another in Fall, etc.)
If you would like to sign up for a support group, please fill out a Registration Form and send it to us by mail or email it to info@amandathepanda.org.
